BaumInvest AG does not directly facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers of its shares. Instead, we rely on our partner, Umweltfinanz AG, a transparent and independent trading platform for non-listed securities, which handles share trading on the secondary market on our behalf.
At Umweltfinanz, you can find supply and demand for unlisted securities and other sustainable investments via open order books without proprietary trading interests.

How can I generate income from my investment?
BaumInvest AG considers itself a long-term capital investment for its shareholders who want to complement and diversify their portfolios with a tangible asset investment in land, forestry, and the future market of carbon compensation. Returns can be achieved through the appreciation of the share or BaumInvest AG itself. There is no fixed term for a BaumInvest investment, and shares can be purchased and sold flexibly on the secondary market.
In addition to capital appreciation, shareholders are also expected to benefit from the success of BaumInvest AG through dividend distributions in the medium term.
How safe is my investment with BaumInvest?
Anyone involved in financial investments should be aware of the risks associated with investing. Therefore, we would like to point out that an investment in the capital market always carries a certain level of risk. In the worst case, this risk can lead to a complete loss of capital. To counteract these risks, the following levers are available:
Legal Structure and Legal Certainty: At BaumInvest, shareholders invest in a German joint-stock company that operates under German law.
Ownership Instead of Leasing: BaumInvest purchases the land for its reforestation projects through its wholly owned subsidiaries. These properties are thus part of BaumInvest’s assets and serve as collateral.
Participation: As a shareholder, you have the opportunity to participate by exercising your voting rights at the annual general meeting and by electing the supervisory board from among your peers.
Expertise: Our strategy for risk assessment is based on experience, knowledge, and constant collaboration with experts. Our mixed forest concept with native tree species offers significant protection against climatic fluctuations and natural damage.
Equity Ratio: BaumInvest is financed by over 90 percent equity capital. The majority of the currently over 2,000 BaumInvest shareholders are private investors.
Science-Based: From the beginning, BaumInvest’s projects have been supported by science. We work closely with international and local universities and experts.
Transparency: Shareholders and partners can always visit the project sites in person. Additionally, they receive the annual business report through continuous reporting and obtain further detailed information during the annual general meeting.
Diversification of the Business Model: We continuously expand our service portfolio and diversify our business fields. For example, in 2021, we expanded our offerings to include carbon offsetting solutions and services for corporate clients, which have since become a significant contributor to the company’s success.
