Oswaldo Alonso Pati\u00f1o Uzcategui ist als neuer Mitarbeiter seit Anfang Februar im BaumInvest Team. Als Forstingenieur betreut er unsere Aufforstungsprojekte in Kolumbien. In unserem Interview stellt er sich vor und erz\u00e4hlt von seinen bisherigen Erfahrungen und neuen Aufgaben.<\/p>\n

1. Hallo Oswaldo, bitte stell dich kurz vor.
<\/strong>
Ich bin Forstingenieur mit 19 Jahren Erfahrung in der Forstwirtschaft und spezialisiert auf ganzheitliche Betriebsabl\u00e4ufe \u2013 von der Holzernte und Aufforstung bis hin zur Weiterverarbeitung und Vermarktung von Holzprodukten.<\/p>\n

2. Wie bist du auf BaumInvest aufmerksam geworden?
<\/strong>
Durch mein berufliches Netzwerk in der Forstwirtschaft bin ich auf BaumInvest gesto\u00dfen und war sofort von dem innovativen Gesch\u00e4ftsmodell fasziniert. Mir war schnell klar, dass ich Teil dieses spannenden Unternehmens sein m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n

3. Wie waren deine ersten Wochen bei BaumInvest?
<\/strong>
Ich wurde vom Team herzlich aufgenommen und hatte in den ersten Wochen die Gelegenheit, die einzelnen Rollen und Verantwortlichkeiten innerhalb des Unternehmens kennenzulernen. So konnte ich mir ein tiefgehendes Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr die Ziele und Strukturen von BaumInvest erarbeiten.<\/p>\n

4. Welche Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten hast du bei BaumInvest?
<\/strong>
Mein Verantwortungsbereich umfasst die gesamten Wiederaufforstungsprojekte in Vichada, Kolumbien. Dazu geh\u00f6ren die Planung und \u00dcberwachung der Fl\u00e4chenvorbereitung, die Steuerung der Baumschulen sowie die Sicherstellung einer erfolgreichen Pflanzung und Pflege der Setzlinge.
Ein zentraler Bestandteil meiner Arbeit ist die Entwicklung und \u00dcberwachung von Leistungskennzahlen (Key Performance Indicators\/KPIs), um Fortschritte zu messen und Optimierungspotenziale zu identifizieren. Zudem plane und begleite ich Ma\u00dfnahmen zur \u00dcberwachung der Wachstums- und Mortalit\u00e4tsraten sowie zur Sicherstellung einer kontinuierlichen Versorgung mit hochwertigem Saatgut.
Ein weiterer wichtiger Aspekt meiner T\u00e4tigkeit ist die enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Teams in Deutschland und Costa Rica, insbesondere bei der Erstellung detaillierter Berichte mithilfe verschiedener Softwarel\u00f6sungen. Ich erstelle monatliche Fortschrittsberichte f\u00fcr alle kolumbianischen Projekte, bewerte neue Fl\u00e4chen auf ihre forstwirtschaftliche Eignung und arbeite kontinuierlich an der Weiterentwicklung unseres forstlichen Konzepts durch Innovationen und Optimierung.
Zudem dokumentiere ich unsere Fortschritte mit Foto- und Drohnenaufnahmen und betreue alle Themen rund um die Gold-Standard-Zertifizierung.<\/p>\n

5. Was hast du beruflich vorher gemacht?
<\/strong>
Meine bisherige Laufbahn umfasst ein breites Spektrum an forstwirtschaftlichen T\u00e4tigkeiten, darunter mechanisierte und manuelle Holzernte sowohl in Naturw\u00e4ldern als auch in Plantagen. Ich war an allen Stufen der Lieferkette beteiligt \u2013 vom Wald bis hin zu den Verarbeitungsbetrieben und Endkunden.
Dar\u00fcber hinaus verf\u00fcge ich \u00fcber fundierte Kenntnisse in der Waldbewirtschaftung, insbesondere in der Fl\u00e4chenvorbereitung, Pflanzung und Pflege sowie im Waldbrandschutz. Zudem habe ich Erfahrung in der Leitung von Produktionsprozessen in S\u00e4gewerken und Holzschnitzelwerken sowie in der \u00dcberwachung der Holzkohleherstellung.<\/p>\n

6. Welche Erfahrungen kommen dir in deiner neuen Position zugute?
<\/strong>
Meine fast 20-j\u00e4hrige Erfahrung in der Forstwirtschaft und im Waldschutz, kombiniert mit meiner Expertise im Prozessmanagement, erm\u00f6glichen es mir, leistungsstarke Teams aufzubauen und nachhaltige Ergebnisse in Bezug auf Qualit\u00e4t, Menge und Terminierung sicherzustellen.
Meine Kernkompetenzen liegen in der Strategieentwicklung und -umsetzung, der F\u00fchrung leistungsstarker Teams sowie der Gew\u00e4hrleistung betrieblicher Sicherheit. Zudem verf\u00fcge ich \u00fcber umfassende Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Steuerung von Managementkennzahlen zur Prozessoptimierung und Ergebnissicherung.<\/p>\n

7. Was hat dich besonders an dieser Stelle gereizt?
<\/strong>
Die innovativen Ans\u00e4tze, die ich in der Forstwirtschaft von BaumInvest gesehen habe, sind unglaublich inspirierend. Ich freue mich darauf, neue Methoden kennenzulernen und zukunftsweisende Wege f\u00fcr eine nachhaltige und effiziente Forstwirtschaft zu erkunden.<\/p>\n

8. Du wirst mit deiner Familie nach Kolumbien ziehen. Wo hast du zuvor gelebt und wo wirst du wohnen?
<\/strong>
Ich werde nach Villavicencio, Kolumbien, ziehen. Zuvor habe ich drei Jahre in Bogot\u00e1 gelebt und davor in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.<\/p>\n

9. Wie gelangst du von deinem Wohnort zum Projektgebiet und wie oft wirst du dort sein?
<\/strong>
Ich werde regelm\u00e4\u00dfig nach Cumaribo reisen, das per Flugzeug erreichbar ist. Mein typischer Arbeitsrhythmus sieht vor, dass ich 30 aufeinanderfolgende Tage im Feld verbringe, gefolgt von 10 arbeitsfreien Tagen.<\/p>\n

10. Was ist dein erster Eindruck von den Projekten in Kolumbien?
<\/strong>
Die Vision von BaumInvest ist beeindruckend und birgt enormes Potenzial. Mit einer gezielten Ressourcenverteilung und einem strategischen Zeitmanagement m\u00f6chte ich dazu beitragen, die ambitionierten Ziele erfolgreich umzusetzen.<\/p>\n
